Original SOLD - Prints available for order
A Long Days Lean: This piece was painted with dirt and ash gathered from three different areas in The Little Belt Mountains of MT. The red is from North of Martinsdale near a Blackfoot battlefield. There is also an old homestead that still stands nearby. The black is actual ash from a forest fire that occurred in the area of Kings Hill during the summer of 2021. The tan tones were found near Pilgrim Creek Trail Head also in the Kings Hill area. There is also a brown tone gathered from the Highwood Mountains of Montana in the Highwood Baldy area. The yellow tones were found in the Pipestone area in Southwest Montana and the blue background is created with crushed turquoise.
