Ashen Serenade: This chickadee was painted with ash gathered from a forest fire in the Kings Hill area of the Little Belt Mountains. The brown tone for the branch was found near Tiger Butte, also in the Little Belts close to the Sluice Boxes State Park. I also used crushed turquoise to add a splash of color to the background.
