Ashes to Ashes: This piece was painted with dirt and ash gathered from two different areas in The Little Belt Mountains of MT. The turquoise tone was found down in an old mine. It has the bluish/turquoise hue because it is technically calcium fluoride. It was found up in the Carpenter Creek area of Kings Hill and the black is actual ash from a forest fire that occurred in another area of Kings Hill during the summer of 2021.
