Dusty Echoes: This piece was painted with a variety of dirt gathered from many places in Central Montana. The red dirt is from North of Martinsdale near a Blackfoot battlefield. There is also an old homestead that still stands nearby. The dark brown tones were found in Castletown, a ghost town in the Castle Mountains. There is also lighter brown tones gathered from near Geraldine, MT. The yellow tones were found near White Sulphur Springs, MT and the black is ash from a forest fire in the Kings Hill area.
