Dusty Gems: The irises in this piece are painted with real crushed turquoise. The stems and leaves are painted with green dirt gathered in the Little Belt Mountains in Sawmill Canyon North of Harlowton, MT. I also added some detail and definition with some black ash gathered from a forest fire in the Kings Hill area also of the Little Belt Mountains.
