Dusty Whiskers: This piece was painted using the same dirt as “Dust Bunny” The brown dirt was gathered from the “streets” of Castle Town, a ghost town in the Castle Mountains of Central Montana. Once a lively mining town, it was likely brimming with excitement, drama, and unfolding history. The yellow hues in the piece were collected near Newlan Creek Reservoir in the Little Belt Mountains, while the red”ish” undertone was found north of Martinsdale, also in the Little Belt Mountains.
