This piece was painted with a variety of dirt gathered from all over the Little Belt Mountains in Central Montana. The tan comes from Newlan Creek Reservoir. The grey and black details are made from ash from a forest fire in the Kings Hill area. The green comes from near Judith Gap in Sawmill Canyon. The yellow in the sunrise comes from the Sapphire Village area and the red comes from North of Martinsdale, MT.
