Ghost Poppies: This piece was painted with crushed red brick found along the abandoned streets of Castle Town, a ghost town in the Castle Mountains. The purple wash comes from steeped red peony petals grown along Belt Creek near Belt, Montana while the green dirt from Sawmill Canyon forms the stems. Forest fire ash from the Little Belt Mountains frames the flowers in a bit of shadow.
