Muddy Momma: This piece was painted with brown dirt found among the old buildings of Castle Town, a Montana ghost town located on private land in The Castle Mountains. This dirt “saw” the hustle and bustle of a Montana mining community in it’s prime. The pink tones came from near Sapphire Village in The Little Belt Mountains near Utica, MT. Black ash from a forest fire in the Kings Hill area of the Little Belts was also used to get the tiny details.
