Splashes of Hope:
This piece was painted with a combination of dirt gathered from the Little Belt Mountains in Central Montana. The yellow was gathered from North of Martinsdale in a spot where large chunks of earth break and fall exposing many layers with varieties and colors of soil including this vivid yellow clay. The red/pink tones are a dirt found near Sapphire Village. The green was found near Spring Creek Road close to Martinsdale and the black is ash gathered from a forest fire that occurred during the summer of 2021 on Kings Hill Pass.
